Forget About Pride; New Push is for Black Music History Month

Black Americans already have the entire month of February to celebrate their roots. They also have Juneteenth, which conveniently falls into the middle of Pride Month, which celebrates the LGBTQ community.

That’s not enough, according to some Black politicians. There’s now a battle to ensure everyone knows about black music and how it has shaped every genre of music. 

There’s now a push for June to become Black Music Month.
