Switzerland Practices Wartime Moves for First Time in Decades

Everyone knows Switzerland is neutral, right? So why is the European nation suddenly practicing wartime military drills?

According to Barron’s Agence France-Presse, the Swiss began practicing a wartime maneuver that it hasn’t done since 1991. Known as an Alpha Uno exercise, the drill uses F/A-18 fighter jets to land on a highway instead of a runway. In the case of the nation’s bases being hit, it’s a useful skill to maintain.
