How about Outer Banks, North Carolina?

The Outer Banks, often abbreviated as "OBX," are barrier islands between North Carolina’s coast and the Atlantic Ocean. These islands offer beaches, state parks, lighthouses, museums, and historical sites, with activities like fishing, kitesurfing, diving, and hiking.

The 46th Annual Wright Kite Festival, scheduled for July 19-20, features large kites flying and on display, with opportunities for guests to fly their own kites, take kite flying lessons, or visit the Wright Brothers National Memorial, which includes a kite-making station for kids. The area is also known for its seafood and North Carolina barbecue, with breweries, distilleries, and wine-tasting rooms found on the OBX Beer, Wine, & Spirits Trail.
