Nancy Pelosi Begs For An Intervention To Save America From Another Term Of Donald Trump

The former Democratic Speaker of the House, known for her sharp criticisms of Donald Trump, has made headlines with her latest remarks during an interview with MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donald. Pelosi referred to the former president as an "imposter" and expressed a desire for an intervention by his family or the Republican Party.

"He knows he's wacky," Pelosi stated, adding, "He knows he's an imposter." She further elaborated, "But I do wish there would be an intervention from his family, assuming they love him beyond the resources … that they would intervene," highlighting her concerns about Trump's suitability for running in future elections.

This plea for an "intervention" underscores Pelosi's ongoing apprehension about Trump's influence and potential candidacy. Her use of the term "imposter" suggests a deep-seated belief in his inadequacy as a leader.

Republicans Successfully Ban Military Members From Using Taxpayer Funds

House and Senate lawmakers on Friday set the stage for a summer showdown over defense policy changes for the upcoming year, with pivotal decisions on military spending and troop pay raises at stake.

The Senate Armed Services Committee revealed their draft of the extensive defense authorization bill on Friday morning, coinciding with the House's narrow passage of their version in a 217-199 vote, largely divided along party lines.

Controversial social issues are also at play, particularly in the House draft, which includes provisions that could potentially halt the Pentagon’s abortion access policy, freeze hiring for diversity roles, limit care for transgender troops, and restrict discussions on certain ideological topics.

These provisions have sparked significant debate, with Democratic lawmakers voicing strong objections. The need for bipartisan compromise, especially in the Democrat-controlled Senate, will be crucial as similar provisions in last year’s House drafts were eventually removed during negotiations.
