Obama and Springsteen Rally for Harris in Georgia

Kamala Harris is pulling out all the stops in her effort to flip Georgia, a key swing state that could determine the outcome of the 2024 election. In a high-energy rally, former President Barack Obama and music legend Bruce Springsteen joined forces with Harris to fire up the crowd. Obama urged Georgians to “defend democracy” by supporting Harris, framing the election as a choice between preserving democratic institutions or succumbing to Trump’s authoritarian tendencies.

Harris' campaign sees Georgia as crucial to their path to the White House, particularly given its shift in 2020. However, Trump remains a strong contender in rural areas, so these events are designed to boost urban and suburban turnout. Springsteen’s performance drew massive attention, energizing both young and older voters in the state, further bolstering Harris’ chances of gaining ground against Trump.
